It took me several minutes to notice the man. I actually don’t know how long it took me to notice him, but it could have taken much longer than just several minutes. I was so taken in by everything else going on around me—the new and old faces wanting water and snacks—and my body was positioned towards the left, that I hadn’t a thought to look right.

Today I shook a lot of dirty hands. I used to be afraid of dirty hands, wondering what sort of invisible germs I would get. I didn't want to touch people who were dirty.
On the corner of Malcolm X and Dawson homeless people often walk by. Nearby, there is a homeless shelter. CitySquare goes to that corner every Thursday at 2 PM with waters and this week, chips.

Let me tell you a story of faith—faith without sight. Faith when all looks dim, and God seems silent.
As I moved on my upward career path, gaining more responsibility and making more money every year since I had left college, life was good. God called Katie to make her home in Uganda, to raise its orphaned children, to lay her life down for them, and not just for the thirteen little girls who call her “mommy,” but also for hundreds of others for whom she cares on a weekly basis.
