Poverty often confronts those who are not impoverished through statistics. But poverty for those of us who live in nice homes is sometimes a world away from our hearts. It's not that we don't want to care, we really do. And we are often moved with compassion. But we frequently do not know how to care.

Well, Street Art wasn't quite what we expected it to be today. After over an hour of yarn bombing, a lady cop pulled up and told us we had to stop. "This is private property," she said. Now, don't mind us, but we were a small portion of her worries. There were, quite literally, at least twenty trash bags and many people sitting on this property.

Passing out reading glasses was great fun! Since we haven't given out reading glasses in over a year, we were amazed at how many people really needed them and felt so blessed to receive them.

When people said "thank you," we got to tell them about the community behind the glasses ... about many of you who gathered together to provide for this basic and important need.
