The work of The Human Impact starts with the homeless but continues as people transition out of homelessness. If you hang out with us for any period of time, you will hear us refer to "our formerly homeless friends" often. As friends, we check-in with each other. We have lunch. We talk on the phone. We build each other up. We visit. We laugh. We cry. We pray. We do life together because a place to live does not cure loneliness or create companionship. Whether formerly homeless or never homeless, we all need more than a safe place to lay our head. We need a safe space to share our hearts.
We want to invite people to love our formerly homeless friends alongside us. We want to create opportunities for authentic connections and relationships to form and flourish. And ultimately, we want a team of support surrounding each of our formerly homeless friends, helping sustain them in their life beyond the streets.
We have two upcoming, very practical ways for this to happen. We hope you will consider joining us for one or both of these events listed below! Friends, spouses, and kids are all welcome. Please RSVP to advocacy@thehumanimpact.org. We will send you the address of each location upon RSVP.
